The Dedham Square Crawl has been rescheduled to February 4th!
The Dedham Square Crawl is becoming an annual tradition to raise funds for selected deserving local charities. Funds raised this year will be split between the Nicole Ahl Memorial Fund and the Rally for Sally, benefitting pediatric cancer research in honor of Dedham resident Sally Naser. The event is sponsored by Dedham Square Circle and is organized by DSC Board Member Peter Springer and a volunteer committee of local residents including Eileen Newell, Sam Gentile, Vicki Rumpp and Amy Paxson.
All Dedham residents are invited to participate in this fun event. This year’s theme is School Spirit Week, and participants are encouraged to wear whatever they wore during their own spirit week – anything goes!
Crawlers will meet at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio at 6:00, where they can purchase raffle tickets and T-shirts with the 2017 Crawl logo, designed and donated by Peter Reynolds and Representative Paul McMurtry. At 7:00, we will relocate to Dedham House of Pizza, where DHOP proprietor George Panagopoulos has generously offered to supply pizza to the Crawlers. From there, participants are invited to visit any of the shops or restaurants in the Square, many of which will be staying open later, serving refreshments, or having specials for the Crawl.
At 10:30, Crawlers are invited to the Dedham Square Coffee House for live music and the raffle drawing. Afterwards, the party will continue across the street in the lobby of the Dedham Community Theatre, where the band Cinder Gray will perform.
For more information, or to purchase raffle tickets or T-shirts visit the event's Facebook page. The event itself is free and all money is raised through raffle ticket and t-shirt sales. Raffle tickets are $5 and t-shirts are $10. Payment can be made through PayPal (a link is on the Facebook page), or in person the night of the Crawl. The Crawl committee is also still looking for donations for the raffle – any prizes or gift cards would be welcome. For donations, please contact Peter Springer at psprin2@yahoo.com.
Hope to see you at the Crawl!
