The Engineering Department works closely with various Town departments, committees, commissions, contractors, and to the general public. The Engineering Department reviews and inspects sewers, drainage structures, dams, roads, and bridges, and has dedicated staff responsible for maintaining Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data and produces online services and printed maps.

Board and Committee Work
The Director of Engineering, Jason Mammone, sits on the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) as a non-voting member. TAC is responsible for reviewing Traffic Calming Request Forms to determine if they are eligible for potential traffic calming measures as based upon the requirement set forth in the adopted Traffic Calming Policy.
