The Dedham Sustainability Advisory Committee fall recycling event will be held on Saturday, November 2nd from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the Dedham Middle School, 70 Whiting Avenue. It will be held rain or shine and is free for Dedham residents, with the exception of electronics, which will have a nominal cost with proceeds going to support the Neponset Valley Rotary Club.
We will be accepting scrap metal, Polystyrene products such as solid blocks of packing foam, coolers, sheets of white foam, clean and dry polystyrene coffee cups, grocery meat trays (free of all packaging), and takeout clam shell food packaging. All polystyrene must be clean and dry. NEW this year we will be accepting packing peanuts, air pillows (please bag separate).
Textiles, such as clothes, shoes, linens and stuffed animals will also be collected in addition to paper for off-site, secure shredding. All textiles must be bagged.
Bikes not Bombs will be joining us again this year. They accept all types and sizes of bikes, tools, parts, accessories (helmets bags, lights, pumps, locks), cycling clothing. No rusted bikes, scooters please $20 suggested donation defrays the cost of shipping oversees. Tax deductible receipt provided with each donation.
