Pct.1 Polling Location Change Report

Precinct 1 Polling Location Report.

 

The Town of Dedham would like to notify the residents of Precinct/ District 1 that because of the recent scheduled demolition of the old Town Hall located at 26 Bryant St. The Select Board upon approval of this report will vote on Thursday September 24th to change the polling location in necessity to the New Town Hall 450 Washington Street.

 

 The polling location will be located at the rear entrance (Senior Center) of the New Town Hall, 450 Washington Street, Room 110. The Polling location will be located on the 1st floor. Accessible parking is located to the right of the entrance.

 

The change is necessary to better serve the public convenience or public health of the voters, and the change would  Not have a disparate adverse impact on access to the polls on the basis of race, national origin, disability, or income or age..

 

A Copy of the polling place accessibility survey has been completed locally with the Building Inspector (without a SOC in person survey), along with Photos and sent to the Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts William Francis Galvin. A copy of this report will be placed at the office of the Town Clerk and will be posted on the Town of Dedham’s Website.

 

When the polling places have been designated, the board of registrars shall post on the municipal website and the Dedham Town Hall a description of the polling places and shall notify voters by using an electronic means, to the extent available, or reverse 911 call or a post card mailing..
