SAVE THE DATE: RECYCLING EVENT SET FOR
SATURDAY, APRIL 2
Dedham’s Department of Public Works and Sustainability Advisory Committee, along with the Neponset Valley Sunrise Rotary Club, will hold a recycling event on Saturday, April 2 from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the Dedham Middle School, 70 Whiting Avenue. It will take place rain or shine and is free for Dedham residents, except for electronics which will include a fee.
Items that will be accepted at this event include:
- Scrap Metal
- Electronics*
- Styrofoam**
*Electronics will be accepted for a fee. A complete list of pricing can be found below.
**Only rigid foam will be accepted. Packing peanuts, meat trays, and soft foam will not be accepted.
Paper Shredding
Paper shredding services will also be provided by A-1 Shredding.
Free Tree Saplings provided by Bartlett Tree
Residents who stop by the Recycling Day event can also pick up a free, tree sapling, provided by Bartlett Tree.
Textiles, linens, clothing, footwear, and stuffed animals can be dropped off using the large, white collection bins located in the Middle School parking lot. Additional collection boxes are located in the parking lots at the Avery Elementary School, Greenlodge Elementary School, Riverdale Elementary School, and the Early Childhood Education Center. The collection bins are offered by Bay State Textiles and are emptied on a regular basis and provide an opportunity for residents to recycle accepted items at no cost.
