The Community Events page is a place where you can search for upcoming or past community events*.

 *Community Events can be submitted by email. Every Community Event that is posted here must be Dedham specific and be approved by the web administrators before becoming publicly available and displayed on our Community Event Calendar. The webmaster and/or Town Administration has the right to refuse postings which are deemed to be inappropriate or irrelevant without explanation.

DPL - It’s Your Story – Tell It!

Join Rona Leventhal – Storyteller, Improv Movement & Theater Specialist – for this fun workshop, “It’s Your Story – Tell It!” for adult patrons at the library.

Personal stories – those from our own lives – are both personal and universal. In this workshop we will sow “story seeds” from our lives and see how we can start to shape one of them into a story for telling. In pairs and individually, through writing and speaking, we will look at the details of the story, brainstorm memories, share ideas and start to thread together the pearls that can make up a story. Think you don’t have any stories worth telling? You’d be surprised! Please join me on this most interesting journey!
