Here is a look-ahead at the construction work planned for the Public Safety Building, from July 19, 2021 to July 23, 2021
Project Overview:
Construction of a combined public safety building commenced in December 2020 on the site of the former Town Hall at 26 Bryant Street. The new building will house the staff and equipment of Fire, Police, and Dispatch departments. The new combined Public Safety Building will replace two older Town buildings: Police Station at 600 High Street (built in 1962) and the Fire Station at 436 Washington Street (built in 1930). The new building is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2022.
The livestream video of the construction is now available on the Project website! Tune in from anywhere to watch the continued progress on the Combined Public Safety Building.

- On Monday, July 19, the crane to be used for steel installation will be mobilized onsite and prepped for steel work.
