In connection with the Town Green project, the Town Green Working Group (TGWG) will advise and support the Town Manager and Select Board as the authorities having jurisdiction over the construction and alteration of town-owned property under the Massachusetts General Laws, Town Charter, and Bylaws of the Town of Dedham. During the formal design phase of the project, the TGWG will be responsible for engaging and informing the public on the project and will work with the Town Manager to develop an RFQ for professional services associated with the Project, including serving as an advisory group on the selection of a person or firm responsible for the final design of the Dedham Town Green. The designer, with advice and input from the TGWG, will recommend a final design(s) to the Select Board for review and approval.

In addition, the TGWG shall work with the Town Manager and designer in an advisory role to support the successful completion of the project. The Town Manager will designate a Town employee to serve as a liaison to the TGWG and who will provide administrative and technical assistance to the TGWG. The Town Manager and/or his staff designee(s) shall be responsible for all aspects of the project including budget, schedule, safety, public relations, coordination of town departments, logistics, and contract compliance.
