- Dogs, cats, and other pets are sensitive to loud, unfamiliar sounds like fireworks. The repeated boom of fireworks can cause extreme anxiety in many animals. Pets may run away to flee, get lost, or struck by a vehicle.
- Pets and other animals can ingest litter from fireworks and cause choking or an internal blockage.
- Fireworks can also negatively impact wildlife. Fireworks can start fires which can destroy wildlife habitat. The sounds and light can also cause wildlife to flee and get struck in roadways.
