Neighborhood Chats

Hear about the future of 600 High Street (the Police Station Lot) and the opportunity for a Town Green!

For the past year and a half, the Dedham Square Planning Committee has been studying options for the future of 600 High Street once the Police Station moves to our new Public Safety Building. After a community meeting in February with about 170 residents, the Committee voted to pursue transforming that area into a Town Green - an outdoor civic space for all of Dedham to enjoy!
Starting June 21st, we will be launching a series of public workshops to help create a community vision for this space. The feedback from these workshops will help the Committee as we work with a designer to develop a proposal for the Select Board, which could ultimately be presented to Town Meeting in either November 2021 or May 2022.
The workshops, called Neighborhood Chats, will have the same format but will be held at different times and places (including one via Zoom) to help ensure folks will find one that works for their schedule.
The workshop dates/locations are:
  • Monday, June 21, 7 pm - Endicott Estate
  • Thursday, June 24, 7 pm - Town Hall, on the ground floor in the Senior Center
  • Monday, June 28, 7 pm - Mother Brook Arts & Community Center, Library
  • Tuesday, June 29, 7 pm - via Zoom, Register here: bit.ly/NeighborhoodChat-629
