You may submit an application to register or pre-register to vote in Massachusetts if:

You are a citizen of the United States;

You are 16 years old, and;
-
You are not currently incarcerated by reason of a felony conviction.
If you meet the above requirements, you may apply online, in person, or by mail.
You may also re-register to vote in order to update your name, address, or party affiliation.
Registering Online: Complete the online registration on the Secretary of the Commonwealth's website.
Registering in Person: Please visit the Town Clerk's office or the Secretary of the Commonwealth's office. Voter registration is also available as part of every transaction at the Registry of Motor Vehicles and at certain public assistance agencies. Voter registration forms completed in-person are valid as of the day that they are signed. A voter registration form can be downloaded online and handed in as well.
Registering by Mail: Please download, print, and complete the voter registration form. Follow the instructions on the form for submission to the Town Clerk's office.
