Important Resources and Reminders
- Mail-In Ballots: Deadline to apply for State Election is October 29, 2024 by 5 PM. Use one of the options below to request a ballot:
- Apply Online: www.sec.state.ma.us/MailInRequestWeb/MailInBallot.aspx
- Mail in or Drop Off Application: Download an application from the Town Clerk’s website (www.dedham-ma.gov/Elections) and mail or drop off the completed application to Town Hall
- Polling Locations (State search tool): Where do I vote? - Enter your address into the State search tool to identify your precinct number and polling location
- Find My Polling Location (Town GIS search tool): Find My Polling Location - Enter your address into our interactive GIS portal to identify your precinct and polling location
- Register to Vote: Choose from the three options below
- Register Online: Use the State's Online Registration Portal
- In Person: Stop by the Town Clerk's Office at Town Hall to complete and submit the Voter Registration Form
- By Mail: Download, print, complete, and mail the Voter Registration Form to the Town Clerk's Office at the Dedham Town Hall (450 Washington Street)

- Registering to Vote: The first thing you need to do to vote is to register with either the Town Clerk or the Secretary of the Commonwealth. You may register in-person, by mail, or online.
- Absentee & Mail In Voting: Elections are typically held on one day, however you have the option to vote Absentee or by Mail In with an Updated Application. There will be Early Voting by Mail & In Person for the 2023 local Town elections.
- Voting Precincts & Polling Places: When you go to vote on Election Day, you are to vote at a specific location.
- Election Dates: Track when elections are held and for what offices.

- Local Campaign Finance Guide: For first-time local political candidates, be sure to follow this guide to comply with legal requirements around your candidacy.
- Filed Campaign Finance Reports: Campaign financing reports that were filed by local candidates for office.

Vote by Mail Application Deadline: April 3rd, 2023
Early Voting: April 1st & April 2nd 9:00am-3:00pm (Tentative)
Election Day Polling Hours: 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
On Ballot: Select board, Board of Assessors, Town Moderator, School Committee, Board of Health, Planning Board, Board of Library Trustees, Commissioner of Trust Funds, Park and Recreation.
Board of Registrars
The Board of Registrars is a group of Dedham voters who conduct elections and keep election and voter records. The Town Clerk is automatically a member as the chief elections and records officer of the Town. Three other members are appointed by the Board of Selectmen for staggered, three-year terms. The current members are:
