Please review the following updates and information about upcoming roadwork and projects within the public roadways scheduled to take place now through Labor Day Week* (unless otherwise noted):
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS (DPW) PROJECTS:
- Anthony Lane and Chute Road
- Paving will take place after Labor Day (week of September 2)
- Maple Place
- Now through Friday, August 30: Crews will be installing drainage structures.
EVERSOURCE GAS PROJECTS
- Elmview Place and Mt Vernon Street
- Ongoing gas main work within trench; expected completion by October 1
- Rosemary Road, Vine Rock Street Needham Street, Lynch Avenue, Cunningham Road
- Eversource will be patching the gas trench along the abovementioned roadways
- Robinwood Road
- Begin digging test pits this week (localized excavations)
MASSACHUSETTS BAY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (MBTA)
DEDHAM-WESTWOOD WATER DISTRICT
- Martin Bates Street and portions of Highland Street and Chestnut Street Water Main Replacement Project
- Please review the following construction activities scheduled now through August 30, 2024:
- Begin installing water main at Martin Bates Street (closest to Highland Street)
- On Friday, trenches will be paved on Martin Bates Street and Highland Street
- Hours of work will be 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Anticipated Impacts:
- Martin Bates Street will be closed to through traffic. The road will only be open to local traffic (i.e., residents, mail delivery, trash, etc.)
- Highland Street between Martin Bates Street and Court Street will be closed to traffic when paving occurs. The road will only be open to local traffic (i.e., residents, mail delivery, trash, etc.).
- Highland Street traffic from Washington Street will be detoured onto Martin Bates Street.

Vehicle access may be temporarily delayed at times during this work. Please drive with extreme caution in this area, plan for additional time, and watch for signage.
