About this Page

As our department works to improve and maintain Dedham's roadways, we also try to minimize disruptions caused by construction. The Construction Updates section below will be updated to keep everyone informed of construction project locations and estimated timelines.

While we will do our best to keep this page as accurate as possible, please be advised that the schedule of construction projects may change as road construction timelines are subject to a range of external factors, including weather, safety, contractor availability, design complications, and funding.

If you can’t find a project in the news feed below or have questions or concerns, please contact Joe Flanagan at (781) 751-9377 or jflanagan@dedham-ma.gov.

Roadwork Schedule Update

Post Date: 11/01/2024 4:15 PM

The Town of Dedham's contractor, Lorusso Corporation, will begin milling Dwight Street and working on Dwight Street, Spruce Street, and Willow Street during the week of November 4. This is an update to the schedule previously shared.

The road limits have been painted and include all of Dwight Street, a portion of Spruce Street from Dwight Street to Willow Street around the corner to the gas company tie in. Please note: all of Willow Street will not be paved at this time.

The upcoming milling work is estimated to take 2 to 3 days to complete and work hours are from 7:00AM to 5:00PM. Future paving will take approximately 1 day to complete, followed by sidewalk work that is expected to take 3 to 4 days. A final paving schedule will be posted when confirmed.

All work is weather-dependent, so schedules may be adjusted accordingly.

Anticipated Impacts
  • Vehicles access will be delayed on these roads during the construction times.
  • After milling, crews will be onsite to adjust the structures and utility boxes within the roadway, so please watch for raised structures.
  • Road surface will be uneven until paved. Please drive slowly.
