Council on Aging Transportation

We are happy to provide rides for our Dedham seniors, and know that for some of you , this is your only alternative to get your food and other needs. We ask that you respect our policies, and don’t put our staff or volunteers in a position that they will have to ask you to return items or to not use the bus service.  For anyone who cannot be respectful of our policies, we will ask you not to utilize this valuable service. Our drivers and volunteers are so happy to see you, please be happy to ride with us!

The Council on Aging operates two handicap-accessible vans. Both offer Dedham seniors (55 and over) and disabled residents curbside transportation to:

  • local medical appointments
  • local grocery shopping
  • local errands
  • local food pantry on the second and fourth Wednesday

Scheduling depends on availability. Please call at least two weeks ahead of your travel date to arrange transportation. On the day of your appointment, we suggest being ready 30-45  minutes prior to your appointment time. The earliest scheduling will be one month prior to an appointment. If possible please contribute a $2.00 donation when you ride the bus.

To arrange transportation, please call: (781) 751-9495.
