Below you will find the weekly programs provided by the Dedham Council on Aging. These programs are for those 55+. These programs do not require advanced sign up. For more details please look at our newsletter here.

Weekly Scheduled Activities:

Held at the Ames Senior Center: 450 Washington Street, Dedham, MA  02026

Mondays:

  • Coffee and Conversation Drop-in Group 1:00pm-2:00pm
  • Canasta 1:00pm-3:00pm

Tuesdays:

  • Bridge 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • Hand and Foot Card Game - 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Wednesdays:

  • Knitting/Crocheting/Needlework 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
  • Needle and Thread 12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.  
  • MahJong 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Chess/Cribbage 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Caregiver Support Group 3:30 pm - 4:45 pm

Thursdays:

  • Decorative Painters 9:30 a.m.
  • SHINE Counselor - 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (Appointment necessary - please call 781-751-9495 to schedule).
  • RummiKube 1:00 p.m.

Fridays:

  • Computer Help 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. (Appointment necessary - please call 781-751-9495 to schedule).  

Drop-in

  • Pool Table - open for play during senior center hours 8:30am - 4:30pm
  • Ping Pong: Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30pm - 4:30pm

Weekly Scheduled Fitness:

Your first time trying a fitness class is free. After that you can purchase fitness tickets at the Senior Center, 10 tickets for $15.00 or $2.00 at the time of the class. Questions- please call 781-751-9495.

  • Movement with Seniors with Nora:   9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
  • Tai-Chi with Wanda: 11:00 a.m.
  • Yoga Mat Class with Cathy:  1:00 p.m. 

Wednesdays: 

  • Chair yoga with Grace for Posture and Balance: 10:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.

Thursdays:

  • Bone Builders with Grace 9:00am-10:00am 
  • Walking Group with Grace 10:30am-11:30am
  • Tai-Chi with Wanda: 10:30 a.m. -11:30 a.m. -
  • Zumba with Alba:  11:45 a.m. - 12:45 a.m.
  • Yoga Mat Class with Cathy - 1:00pm - 2:00pm

Fridays:

  • Strength and Stretch with Nora:  First class at 10:15 a.m. and second class at 11:15 a.m.
