Dedham Police Out in the Community to Promote Safety

The Dedham Police Department received grant funding from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security Municipal Road Safety Program in early 2022 and purchased reflective bands for pedestrians and bicyclists in Dedham. 

In conjunction with new educational outreach and materials that promote safety on our roads, the Dedham Police Department is hoping that by providing this reflective gear, public awareness will increase, and pedestrian and bicyclist crashes will decrease. The reflective bands (shown in photo below), created to be worn on the arm or leg, are specifically designed to help to make bicyclists and pedestrians more visible to drivers.
