Property Classification
Each November, the elected members of the Board of Assessors and the Select Board meet to review a list of all real and personal property within the Town of Dedham. The purpose of this annual Classification Hearing is to ensure that, in the next fiscal year, all properties are property classified and taxed according to how they are used. The Town classifies real property into one of two groups based on usage: residential or commercial, industrial, and personal property.
