Dedham Open Finance

The Town has a comprehensive financial viewer for the public which links directly to financial accounting software.

Open Finance provides the public with easy access to the Town of Dedham’s expenditure, revenue, budget, and payroll information for the current fiscal year, as well as a historical view of previous years. You can search details of municipal expenses and revenues by category, department, fund, government area, and vendor. The data includes every level and every fund of municipal finances, from fiscal year totals to individual vendor payments.

Financial information is updated weekly. Citizens can review total spending to date or dive-in to see how funds are appropriated by department, which vendors receive which payments in a given year, or research spending for specific areas. Interactive charts and graphs allow citizens to easily analyze Dedham’s financial data. Users may take snapshots, print and export data.

The most recent Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and reports from preceding fiscal years may be downloaded below. The Town's fiscal year ends June 30.

Beginning in fiscal year 2022, the Governmental Accounting Standards Board changed the name of the annual single year financial statements from Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) to Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).

Bond Credit Ratings

• In May 2019, S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AAA' rating to the Town of Dedham, Mass.' series 2019 general obligation municipal-purpose loan bonds and note; affirmed its 'AAA' rating on the town's existing debt.  View the ratings report.
